Costa Rica Natural Wonders of the Arenal Volcano with Cano Negro 

3 Days /2 Nights Tour Escorted

Day 01: Early in the morning our naturalist guide will pick you up at your hotel to begin the adventure through the country. In Cano Negro we will start our adventure on boat through a marsh lagoon. The territory where this lagoon is located in one of the most important biological areas in Costa Rica due to its biological diversity and its support to the environment quality of the northern region of Costa Rica. This area constitutes a habitat of wide variety of flora and fauna, as well as it indigenous wild life. This park and the Nicaragua Lake represent one of the last intact humid wetland zones of Central America. Lunch will be served on the lake in the boat. The national and international interest of this area, is also due to the wide variety of migratory birds that are protected here, some of which are endangered species.

Day 02: After breakfast you will explore the cloud forest private reserve of Eco-Lodge, take a hiking tour on one of the many trails on this reserve, being able to see the exceptional flora and fauna. Due to its geographic location, this is the habitat for many migratory birds which make their stop to nourish themselves, rest and spend several weeks per year in this region. Additionally there are numerous resident birds. Enjoy the lush vegetation, formed by epiphytes which covers the centenarian trees, hundred of species of orchids, bromeliads, ferns, helicons and many other plants. Lunch at Eco Lodge. In the afternoon you will visit the relaxing and rejuvenating waters of "Tabacon" Hot Springs and the Arenal Volcano. Just looking at the spectacular scenery the crystal clear mineral water of steaming Tabacon River winding through lush tropical forest at the base of awesome Arenal Volcano. You will be able to see the lava coming down, feel the continues eruptions of this colossus volcano, enjoying and unforgettable experience. Dinner and overnight at Eco Lodge.

Day 03: After breakfast you can explore more of the Cloud Forest or enjoy the different attractions or activities offered at The Eco Lodge, like horse back riding, canoeing, mountain biking , etc., or just relax and enjoy the sounds and colors of nature. In the afternoon on our way back to San Jose, we will visit the artisan town of Sarchi, the capital of handicraft in Costa Rica.
