Jaco Beach in Costa Rica is one of the first real Costa Rican beach towns. Jaco Beach offers many activities and fun tours to enjoy, there is something for every taste, family tours, adventure tours (Canopy Tours, Crocodile Man Tour, ATV (Quad Tours). A laid back bustling town, Jaco is one of the most popular Costa Rican beaches. Easily accessible by all, Playa Jaco is about 3 km long and is best reached by catching an International flight to San Jose and then driving out here. The areas to the north and south of Jaco are some of the most picturesque and cleanest, with stunningly gorgeous panoramic ocean views.

You need to be careful about swimming here, as riptides are quite common along the beach shore.

North Puntarenas, Costa Rica (Central Pacific & Nicoya Peninsula) Lying to the west and stretching for along two thirds of the country’s Pacific Coast, Puntarenas is the largest province in Costa Rica. The regions most popular attraction is easily the Parque National Manuel Antonio, with its superb white sand beaches and lush green mountains. Within walking distance from dozens of fine hotels and restaurants, this park attracts people of all ages. For those who want some more action, after spending the day wildlife viewing head north to Jaco Beach, a great party-oriented resort town. For those who are interested in catching some good waves, head down south to Dominical or visit Mal Pais on the Nicoya Peninsula. There are also a few uncrowned beaches that stretch down the coast. Hidden by patches of forest land, these beaches are paradise for those who want some peace and quiet. While the coastline has strong waves and is great for surfing, it does produce strong rip tides, making it quite treacherous for swimmers.
